Education
Going to school at Central Washington University has been such a great experience. The Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising program is very hands-on and interactive and it has enhanced my learning experience greatly. It has also helped me look at the world in a different way and think outside the box more. I look at the way clothes are made, color, and even textiles with a new eye because of all the knowledge I have gained here so far. I love that the program is an overview of the industry as well; it covers everything from trend research to visual merchandising, to buying math and fashion design. It's such a dynamic program that has shown me just how big the industry is and how many opportunities there is for a fulfilling career in it. Below is a list of industry-relevant classes that I have taken in my major so far:
-
